Diary of medical team members going to Hubei: evolving into a female "Iron Man" to escort 12 patients out of the hospital.

Editor’s Note: This is a diary sent back to China Youth Daily by medical team members who went to Hubei from Wuhan, which records the real working conditions of medical staff in Fangcang Hospital. A reading meeting was held in Fangcang Hospital, where patients told their own stories, listened to each other’s voices and shared psychological difficulties. Guangdong’s advanced experience on-line "sensing observers" was introduced to prevent medical staff from "occupational exposure" due to action mistakes; Some medical staff also personally escorted 12 patients out of the hospital & HELIP; …

Today is the eighth day of my battle against the epidemic in Wuhan.

After coming to Wuhan, I have worn protective clothing into the cabin for three times. In addition to entering the cabin, I was assigned the task of following Director Zhang Jiming to control the infection in Wuchang Fangcang Hospital of Hongshan Gymnasium.

On the first day of entering the library, I drew the topographic map of each district with A4 paper, and made the regional division map, the process and schematic diagram of putting on and taking off protective clothing, the video and dubbing of putting on and taking off protective clothing, the formulation of job responsibilities of sensitive nurses, the process of transferring materials, and the working schedule and workflow of cleaning workers.

Under the guidance of Director Zhang and the mutual help of my comrades-in-arms, I took pains to revise these procedures again and again, only to make the sensory control the best with limited resources and raise the safety factor of medical care to the highest possible level.

After several days of continuous transfer, I feel that time flies, and there is not enough time. I was worried that insomnia due to homesickness almost did not exist. I fell asleep every day and almost had no time to contact my missing family.

My family is also very considerate, just saying "Be safe at home, pay attention to protection, wait for your return" every day, so that I can devote myself to the war "epidemic".

Just yesterday, my team and I personally escorted 12 COVID-19 patients who had been repeatedly confirmed to be recovered from hospital. In the face of the heartfelt thanks of these patients, I am proud of my team.

In the past, the weak wife and gentle mother at home have automatically evolved into a female "Iron Man" in Wuhan. I always remind myself and my comrades around me to keep warm, supplement more nutrition and increase their resistance. Let’s go forward bravely in this battlefield without smoke until victory.

Yesterday afternoon, it was my third class in Dongxihu Fangcang Hospital, and I will be on duty in Hall B for 6 hours. At present, Hall B has treated about 360 patients with mild COVID-19. Although it is mild, the number of patients is huge, and some patients need to be closely observed and alert to the development of severe diseases. After taking over at 14 o’clock, we began to work nervously and busily, such as making rounds, making doctor’s orders and recording the course of disease. The patients lined up to get medicine and meals, and everything was in order.

But I always feel that something is missing. Why is there no square dance in the legendary cabin?

Around 18 o’clock, the hall broadcast sounded. "Dear friends, hello everyone! I’m the head nurse in hall B. In order to enrich everyone’s cultural life, we are now holding a reading party in the cabin. Welcome friends to share their poems, recent books or film and television works, and also welcome to share their stories. " Later, the voice of the head nurse leading everyone to read came from the radio. Lang Lang’s reading sound was like early reading in primary and secondary schools, which was inspiring.

After the group reading, a middle-aged man recited an article he read. Next, a young man told the story that his family of five were infected with COVID-19 one after another. Many people began to cry in a low voice. When he talked about the medical assistance and social care that the whole family received after being infected with pneumonia, everyone was happy for him and encouraged him: "Everything will be fine."

An uncle took the microphone and said, "Excuse me, I have to make some comments. One of the toilets has a broken flush. Please fix it as soon as possible." At this time, it was not the head nurse’s turn to preside over it. An aunt grabbed the microphone and said in Wuhan dialect, "The medical staff are already very busy and tired. Let’s solve these small problems ourselves first. If the flush is broken, use the water at the end of the basin to flush the toilet temporarily. One basin can’t be sprinkled with two basins and three basins. " The crowd burst into warm applause. Aunt went on to say, "thank you doctors and nurses for coming to Wuhan from so far away to see us." Thank you! " Everyone shouted together: "Come on, Wuhan! Come on, China! " When we got out of the cabin after work, there were songs sung in the radio, and karaoke without music began.

I am very touched, but I can’t shed tears, lest tears blur my goggles. Unfortunately, Wuhan has such a strong and optimistic Wuhan people. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. You need an outlet to express yourself. The "Reading Club" is your stage, telling your own stories, listening to each other’s voices, and sharing this psychological difficulty.

The only thing we can do is to step up our work and pace, give more comfort and encouragement, and do more to help Wuhan control the epidemic as soon as possible! At that time, let’s all take off our masks, read books and sing together!

In Wuhan in the early morning, the night is like ink, and Leng Yue is like frost. Jianghan Fangcang Hospital is still busy and orderly. Help my teammates put on protective clothing and see them into the cabin. I will say goodbye to them for another 6 hours. Peace! My teammates.

After arriving in Wuhan, the hospital’s suggestions on hospital sense protection were adopted by the headquarters of Fangcang Hospital, and the Guangdong experience was introduced into Fangcang Hospital to launch the "sense-controlled observer" system. I am the leader of the Qinghao Microbiological Inspection Team of the Department of Laboratory Medicine of the Second People’s Hospital of Guangdong Province. Considering my rich experience in sensory control, the team decided to let me be a sensory control observer. "Slow down, according to the steps of wearing, wear masks and hats first … …” Observers mainly help the medical staff entering the cabin to put on protective clothing, because once they make mistakes, they may cause occupational exposure. So I have to keep a close eye on their every move and remind them of the mistakes in time.

Our medical staff have four shifts every day, and medical staff will go in and out of the cabin every six hours. In addition, we will wear protective equipment in advance and pick up our off-duty colleagues. It takes our observers at least three hours to go out every trip. Escort by turns within 24 hours to protect the health of medical team members at all times. The team members affectionately called us "the protector of everyone".

When I left home, my wife, who was also a medical staff, was very supportive of me going to the front line, and my daughter also made paintings to cheer me up. Unexpectedly, when I was on the night shift the next day in Wuhan, I just turned on my mobile phone and heard the bad news of my grandmother’s death! I was brought up by my grandmother. According to my hometown custom, I have to go back to attend the funeral, but I really can’t go back now! Suddenly guilt and remorse are intertwined in my heart, and I can’t get up for a long time. Afraid of affecting the mood of my teammates, I returned to the station and went into my room without telling anyone. Shut the door, tears can’t help but flow down. I explained the situation to my mother and family members, and asked them to help me do my last filial piety to my grandmother.

My teammates have to go into the cabin, so I have to continue to stand on my post. Although I can’t send my grandmother the last trip, I believe my grandmother will be proud of what I have done.
