There are 7,726 test sites and 345,000 examination rooms nationwide, and 1.013 million invigilators are deployed. On the morning of June 7, there will be an exam on Chinese subjects.

  The subjects of the national college entrance examination in 2023 are Chinese, mathematics and foreign languages, focusing on June 7 — On the 8th, other subjects are subject to the college entrance examination model of each province.

  Up to now, 29 provinces across the country have started the new college entrance examination reform. According to local conditions, at present, the new college entrance examination has two modes: "3+3" and "3+1+2". According to the principle of starting from the beginning grade, the new college entrance examination schemes in various places are started from the first year of high school in the autumn of that year, and the first new college entrance examination mode is tested and admitted three years later.

  This year, a total of 14 provinces adopted the new college entrance examination model, namely: Zhejiang, Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong, Hainan, Hebei, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Fujian, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong and Chongqing.

  In 2024, seven provinces including Heilongjiang, Gansu, Jilin, Anhui, Jiangxi, Guizhou and Guangxi will start the first new college entrance examination.

  Eight provinces including Shanxi, Henan, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Sichuan, Yunnan, Ningxia and Qinghai will start the first new college entrance examination in 2025.

  Two modes of new college entrance examination reform

  The "3+3" model of the new college entrance examination reform means that students should independently choose three subjects from ideological politics, history, geography, physics, chemistry and biology as elective subjects in the college entrance examination, except Chinese, mathematics and foreign languages.

  The "3+1+2" model of the new college entrance examination reform means: in addition to Chinese, mathematics and foreign languages, students should choose one subject in physics and history; In the ideological and political, geography, chemistry, biology, choose two subjects as the subjects of college entrance examination.
